Thanks to new seasons of their hit original shows, HBO Max can once again boast a full month of new and exciting stuff that subscribers can tune in to. From shows like The Sex Lives of College Girls and Titans continuing from November to new seasons of shows like the Gossip Girl remake, the month of December 2022 is all about new seasons of your favorite TV series.
The lone new docuseries coming to the streaming service centers around Richard Branson. As reported on their website, Richard Branson is in fact the founder of Virgin Group and a British billionaire entrepreneur and business magnate. The docuseries will air early December. His Dark Materials season 3 will also drop early on in the month, and promises to include more adventure after the long wait since the second season. On December 8, one of the best superhero shows, Doom Patrol, will drop its fourth season to round of the month of the new seasons. As we head into the festive season, here's a look at the best TV series coming to HBO Max in December 2022.
Continuing from its mid-November release, the final episodes of the second season of The Sex Lives of College Girls will air two new episodes a week, beginning December 1. The series follows four college roommates at Essex College in Vermont as they navigate this new chapter in their lives. The second season comprises ten episodes, continuing on as the first season did.

Since it began in 2018, the hit DC series Titans has provided non-stop action and adventure for its fans. Four years and four seasons later, the beloved series is still capturing the hearts of its viewers as the main cast battles evil. In what may be the darkest season yet, the fourth season of the series is centered around Raven's dark magic. The last episode of the first half of the fourth season will air on December 1, with the second half of episodes continuing in 2023.
The second season of the revamped series Gossip Girl returns on December 1. Similar to the original series, which aired on The CW back in 2007, the revived series follows a new generation of New York's private school teens as they spread gossip using an anonymous source called Gossip Girl. The second season will begin during the second semester of the school year and will feature a prom episode. Michelle Trachtenberg, who played Georgina Sparks in the original series, is reprising her role as well.
The docuseries on Richard Branson, aptly titled Branson, will also premiere on December 1. Only a few days before his historic flight as the first passenger to reach space in his own spacecraft in July 2021, Branson sat down with filmmaker Chris Smith for a conversation about the risks in his upcoming journey, as well as some insight into his own life and how he came to be the man he is today. From his lifelong thirst for adventure to his entrepreneurial career, which began at 15, the docuseries will include interviews from Branson himself, his friends, and his family.

The third season of His Dark Materials, a well-known dark fantasy collection written by Philip Pullman will premiere on December 5. The series will feature a new episode-per-week release schedule continuing through the end of the month. The long-awaited third season will focus on the themes of love and truth, and will be loosely tied in with the third book of Pullman's series. Most of the primary cast have returned for the third season, including James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson, and Ruta Gedmintas.
In the fourth season of Doom Patrol, the quirky group of superhero return to save the day again. Starting on December 8, the team will travel to the future and face the tough conflict of choosing between their own happiness or the fate of the world. The series will follow a new episode a week release schedule through the end of December.
