The fire, which broke out around 2:50 p.m. this Monday, has forced the establishment of situation 1 of the Special Forest Fire Plan (PEIF) and cutting off traffic in both directions – from Perellonet and El Saler – in the CV-500 highway to avoid displacement in the area, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center and the Civil Guard and confirmed to Europa Press by the DGT Traffic Management Center.

Chisbert has confirmed that The fire has reached the doors of some buildings, although he has refused to “specify” whether damage has occurred to the balconies. “There may be heat damage, but right now we could not give that assessment, we are still very early,” she declared, adding that there “could be” some vehicle affected.

In the extinguishing tasks, a total of 23 firefighters from the Valencia City Council are working, as well as a coordinating foreman from the Valencia Provincial Firefighters Consortium, two units – one of them helicarried – and a fire engine from the forest firefighters of Valencia. the Generalitat, two air personnel – one has retired due to a technical stop – and an environmental agent. Strong gusts of wind from the west and northwest have been blowing in the fire area since mid-morning, reaching 50 and 60 kilometers per hour (km/h), according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), which has stressed that the tendency is for the west wind to continue blowing, to decrease its intensity with the fall of the afternoon.
