He exchange rate of the dollar with respect to the colon fell even more this Thursday and was located at ¢530.95 in the Foreign Currency Market (Monex).
The price at which it closed today presents a decrease of ¢0.18 compared to what was recorded yesterday, Wednesday.
With this reduction, the price of the dollar remains the lowest on record since February 19, 2014when it closed at ¢530.33.
According to data from the Central Bank of Costa Rica (BCCR), this Thursday a total of $24.91 million was negotiated in the market through 253 purchase and sale operations in Monex.
On Monday and Wednesday of this week they traded $88.13 million and $132.16 million, respectively. The total amount negotiated until this Thursday reaches $270.75 million.
The BCCR acquired $107.85 million on Wednesday and $83.8 million on Monday, figures that constitute the highest amounts in a single day in its own operations.
