League with direct pass; Saprissa and Herediano to Pot 2

This Monday, Concacaf announced details of the draw for the first edition of the 2024 Champions Cup.

For this occasion there are 27 qualified clubs, where the best in the region will meet in search of a ticket to the FIFA Club World Cup.

Good news confirmed for Liga Deportiva Alajuelense (LDA) that received a direct pass to the round of 16.

The Manudos will skip a first round and will be waiting for a rival alongside Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami.

This fate is not the same as that suffered by Saprissa and Herediano, who are located in the Pot 2 and they will meet their first rivals next Wednesday, December 13.

Competition schedule

The First Round of the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup will be played in February, followed by the Round of 16 in March, the Quarterfinals and Semifinals in April, and the Final on Sunday, June 2.
