While I was on the road, I passed through Eureka, KS. The first place a majority of people told me Cake Batter Batter was the place to be. I like cake, and I like batter, and if someone offered me more batter, I’d probably say yes again. Plus, if anything, I needed a sugar rush to help me get back to Wichita.

Cake Batter Batter had the small-town bakery feel when arriving. The windows were decorated supporting their high school football team getting ready to take on the West Franklin Falcons whom they’d go on to defeat 40-20 that weekend.
Stepping inside, though, was where the real magic happened.
Cake Batter Batter specializes in sugar cookies, homemade bread, candies, and more.
They even had an area specifically for coffees, lattes, ice cream and all the sugar you could want.
If sweets didn’t sound good, they also had a menu of burgers, sandwiches, wraps and more.
Since I had eaten already, I focused on snacks. I ordered a brownie, some espresso candies, a salted caramel latte, and an assortment of cookies they recommended. Sidenote: my favorite was the snickerdoodle.
Everything about Cake Batter Batter had that sense of charm that made you want to go back again and again. The staff and ambience just made you feel good.
