The 3 Fils restaurant in Dubai, UAE has been crowned Best Restaurant in Middle East and North Africa during the first ever edition of MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants, held in Abu Dhabi and sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.
A delighted team from the casual and homegrown 3 Fils bounded onto the stage to receive their award for their winning restaurant, which serves contemporary Asian food, with special mention for the chef, Akmal Anuar. Zuma, serving contemporary Japanese cuisine, also in Dubai, took the second spot and OCD Restaurant, which serves a tasting menu experience in Tel Aviv, Israel was third.
A number of special awards were also given during the ceremony, recognising those chefs and restaurants that have made an impact on the world of gastronomy in MENA.
Middle East and North Africa’s Best Pastry Chef 2022 was awarded to Sahar Parham Al Awadhi and the Chef’s Choice Award 2022 was won by chef Reif Othman.
Tala Bashmi, chef-patron of Fusions by Tala in Bahrain was named Middle East & North Africa’s Best Female Chef 2022, Dubai’s Kinoya won the One To Watch Award 2022 and Kamal Mouzawak was picked as the winner of the first Foodics Icon Award.
