“Not fully recovered”… Park Gyu-ri, overcoming speculations about ‘facial injury’ and resuming activities

After taking a break due to a facial injury, Kara’s Park Gyuri is starting her schedule as a special DJ after enduring the injury and various rumors.

Last month, Park Gyuri’s agency Big Boss Entertainment stated, “Actress Park Gyuri recently suffered a fractured cheekbone and orbital fracture during her personal schedule and visited the hospital for a detailed examination.” “As a result, she was advised by the medical professionals that surgery should be performed considering the location of the injury and that it will take about 4-5 weeks from the surgery to recovery.”

After that, Park Gyuri posted a photo of herself lying in a hospital room on her X (former Twitter) and revealed her feelings before the surgery, saying, “I’m having the surgery tomorrow. I want to lean on my people. Please pray for me.” She later comforted her fans by saying, “I heard the surgery went well. Don’t worry too much, my people. I will carefully focus on my recovery and come back as soon as possible with a healthy body and mind.”

However, the sudden news of her facial injury led to speculations and rumors about plastic surgery and dating violence. Due to the absurd claims, the agency eventually had to reveal the specific cause of the accident, saying, “She was injured in a fall while working on her personal schedule.”

Park Gyuri, who must have had a difficult time due to the surgery, expressed her disappointment when the rumors began to spread, saying, “Would they want to do that to someone who’s already been hurt? How much karma must they be receiving from words?” Many people sent her support, even though she had to suffer from speculation during a time when she should be focusing on recovering.

Park Gyuri, who had been recovering by sharing her daily life after orbital fracture surgery, caught everyone’s attention on the 2nd by announcing that she would be resuming her activities as a special DJ for SBS PowerFM’s ‘Young Street’. She will be meeting with ‘Young Street’ listeners for a week from the 5th to the 11th.

In relation to this, when asked about her current health, Park Gyuri’s agency stated on the 2nd, “She has not fully recovered, but she plans to proceed with her schedule as much as possible without overdoing it because she has a scheduled schedule.”

Furthermore, KARA, which Park Gyuri is a part of, released a new single “I Do I Do” on the 24th. KARA is also preparing for their solo concert “2024 KARASIA” in Tokyo, Japan on the 17th and 18th, and in Osaka on the 24th and 25th. Along with Park Gyuri’s resumption of activities after overcoming various rumors, expectations are high for KARA, which will also begin full-scale activities as a full group.
