Paul Pogba has been suspended since last September 12 after testing positive in DHEA (a hormone that increases testosterone) in an analysis after the Udinese – Juventus match on August 20.
The result was confirmed in a counteranalysis in october and the case is pending resolution.
Well, as ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’ reports, Pogba has rejected a two-year suspension agreement with the Italian anti-doping prosecutor’s office.
The Frenchman must go to trial before the Italian National Anti-Doping Court, where he will be exposed to a penalty of up to four years in prison.
At 30 years old and after several very irregular seasons, a sanction until he is 34 could mean the end of the race of Paul Pogba, a footballer who at the time was the most expensive in history.
