625 residents of the canton of Curridabat have been without electricity service since Thursday night, after a car collided with a power line pole, causing 4 other light poles to fall.

The incident occurred at 10.47 pm on Thursday in front of the Novex Hardware Store on the old highway to Tres Ríos, so the people who live in the surrounding area were left without power all morning, and They will be like this at least until 3 pm this Friday.

Luis Fernando Andrés Jácome, Director of Distribution of the National Power and Light Company (CNFL) indicated that in the area “3 collapsed poles were intervened, of which one is broken, another burst and the other has damage to the cruises.”

CNFL crews are still working in the area and hope to restore electrical service within 5 hours.

At the moment the passage through the sector is closed; However, due to the construction work that continues in La Galera, the dams become even more complicated.

According to the Fire Department, a vehicle collided with one of the posts and caused the others to fall, and then fled.

Drivers are advised to take alternate routes.
